Amy Reichanadter didn’t just join Databricks as Chief People Officer in 2019—she helped engineer one of its most defining periods of growth, scaling the team from 500 to over 6,000, building a scalable HR infrastructure without compromising on talent quality. Her leadership has shaped every aspect of the company’s people strategy—from inclusive hiring and performance enablement to leadership development and diversity initiatives. One of her first strategic moves was to establish a clear compensation philosophy and develop hiring processes that emphasized excellence over speed. As Databricks navigated hypergrowth and a pandemic, Reichanadter kept employee experience front and center, expanding engagement initiatives and launching six vibrant employee resource groups (ERGs), with nearly half the workforce actively participating.

Reichanadter holds a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Santa Clara University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA. Her early career included HR leadership roles at Oblix and E2open, where she spent eight years as SVP of Human Resources. She later served as Chief People Officer at Adaptive Insights, a Workday company, where she led global HR operations for five years.

Reichanadter stands out for her belief that leadership isn’t just about direction—it’s about creating space where every voice matters and every decision reflects a deeper purpose. She views AI as a tool for experimentation and collaboration, especially in areas like sourcing, where it can enhance but not replace human intuition. Her leadership style encourages women to own their careers, stay present, and lead with impact, often reminding them to “be the CEO of your own career.” Reichanadter’s influence at Databricks reflects a modern people strategy—bold, inclusive, and rooted in continuous learning, making her a key architect of the company’s long-term success.
