Mimecast has appointed Ranjan Singh as Chief Executive Officer and Board member, elevating its former Chief Product and Technology Officer to lead the company’s next phase of platform growth. Singh succeeds Marc van Zadelhoff, who will continue supporting the company as a Board advisor after leading Mimecast’s expansion from email security into a broader human, data, and AI risk platform.

Singh joined Mimecast in 2025 and oversaw its product and engineering organizations during a period of rapid platform development. Over the past year, the company released more than 100 net new products and enhancements, while Singh also led the technical integration of recent acquisitions in data security, compliance, and collaboration.

Before joining Mimecast, Singh spent more than three years as Chief Product Officer at Kaseya, where he held P&L responsibility across seven business units and a portfolio of more than 40 SaaS products contributing to more than $1.5 billion in revenue. He also held leadership roles at Crestron Electronics and IPC Systems.

Singh said the convergence of human behavior, data, and AI has created a new risk surface for organizations, calling the governance of all three “one of the most pressing challenges in cybersecurity today.” Mimecast Board Chair Michail Zekkos said Singh’s product expertise, scale experience, and understanding of the company’s culture position him to lead Mimecast’s next phase of growth.
