Five9 has reshaped its executive team with three senior appointments across technology, sales, and corporate strategy. Niranjan Vijayaragavan has joined as Chief Technology Officer, Rob Hornish as Chief Sales Officer, and Sven Linsmaier as Executive Vice President of Transformation and Strategy.
Vijayaragavan will take control of product engineering, product management, AI automation, and architecture under one leadership structure. Five9 said the change is intended to speed development across its customer experience platform as the company expands its use of AI.
He most recently served as chief product and technology officer at Nintex, where he led the company’s work in AI-driven enterprise automation. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Avalara, Expedia, Microsoft, and Boston Consulting Group.
Hornish joins from Redaptive, where he was chief sales officer. He previously held senior sales positions at McAfee Enterprise, Polycom, and Cisco Systems. Linsmaier arrives from Workday, where he served as vice president of business finance and operations, and will oversee enterprise strategy, corporate development, and other high-priority initiatives.
The appointments also mark the departure of three current executives from their operating roles. Jonathan Rosenberg, Panos Kozanian, and Matthew Tuckness will remain with Five9 temporarily as advisers during the transition.
“Five9 is at the center of one of the most important changes in customer experience as AI reshapes how companies engage with their customers,” Vijayaragavan said. CEO Amit Mathradas said the new team brings the operational discipline needed to improve execution across product, sales, and strategy.
