Adyen has promoted Gayathri Rajan to Chief Product Officer and named Hwa Tsao interim Chief Financial Officer after closing its acquisitions of loyalty platform Talon. One and enterprise billing company Orb.
Rajan’s appointment takes effect immediately. She will oversee Adyen’s expanding product portfolio as the company begins integrating Talon. One’s promotional engine and Orb’s flexible billing tools into its payments platform. Tsao will step into the finance role on September 1, following the departure of current CFO Ethan Tandowsky on August 31.
Both executives will report directly to Adyen’s Co-CEOs and will not serve as statutory members of the Management Board. Co-CEO Ingo Uytdehaage will personally lead the integration of Talon. One and Orb, while Rajan and Tsao provide dedicated oversight across product and finance.
“Adyen has evolved into a comprehensive platform offering multiple, integrated solutions,” Uytdehaage said. “Aligning our executive leadership with this multi-product reality is a natural step forward.”
Rajan has more than 25 years of product and technology experience, including roles at Google, DriveWealth, and Vanguard. As Adyen’s Global Head of Product, she has overseen product management, design, and partnerships. Tsao brings more than 20 years of finance experience from companies including ServiceNow, HP, and Citigroup and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Group Finance.
Adyen’s Supervisory Board is conducting a global search for a permanent CFO with support from an external executive search firm. The company said its standing financial objectives remain unchanged.
