“Lean in and take ownership. If you see something that needs doing, step in.” For Bridget Abraham, that mindset has defined her approach as Chief Compliance Officer at Rippling, where she joined in April 2024. In a company known for its fast-paced execution, Abraham has anchored compliance in speed, clarity, and proactive engagement. Under her leadership, Rippling launched an Ethics Hotline that allows employees to report concerns anonymously, reinforcing trust and transparency. More than just fulfilling regulatory obligations, she views compliance as a powerful business enabler—one that opens markets, protects customers, and builds lasting value.

Originally from Canada, Abraham holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University and a law degree from the University of Toronto. Her early legal career focused on financial crime and global sanctions, with roles at Scotiabank and Uber, where she helped operationalize complex global compliance frameworks. At Rippling, she leads efforts to secure licenses, build fraud prevention systems, and monitor for financial crimes—functions that are critical for a global HR and finance platform serving thousands of businesses. She is not a passive overseer but an active driver, encouraging her teams to move fast, stay accountable, and make decisions without unnecessary delay.

What distinguishes Abraham is how deeply embedded compliance is in her understanding of product and customer experience. At Rippling, she’s reshaping compliance as a service, one that’s integral to what the company offers. That orientation extends to her leadership style; she believes in quick alignment, setting deadlines, and driving toward clear commitments. Outside of work, Abraham thrives on balance: spending time with her kids, hiking with her dogs, and experimenting in the kitchen with homegrown lemons. That same spirit—organized, grounded, and hands-on defines how she leads in one of tech’s most complex and consequential fields.
