Abigail Pierrepont Johnson, a prominent figure in the finance industry and the granddaughter of Edward C. Johnson II, the originator of Fidelity Investments, has served as Chairman of Fidelity International and President and CEO of Fidelity Investments since 2014. She has been instrumental in the company's growth, overseeing 45,000 employees worldwide. Johnson's wealth is estimated at $35.6 billion as of June 2024, making her one of the world's wealthiest women and the richest person in Massachusetts since at least 2015. 

Johnson's journey at Fidelity began after earning an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1988. She started as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager, eventually rising to President of Fidelity Asset Management in 2001. In 2005, she became Head of Retail, Workplace, and Institutional Business, and in 2012, she was named President of Fidelity Investments. Johnson's influence extended beyond traditional investments when she introduced cryptocurrency investment at Fidelity in 2018, allowing institutional investors to trade bitcoin and ethereum. Her extensive roles also include serving on the boards of MIT, SIFMA, and the Financial Services Forum, where she is the first and only woman to serve.
