Paysend, a financial technology company specializing in cross-border digital payments, has appointed Ben Chisell as its new Group Chief Executive Officer. Chisell, who previously served as President of the company, will report to Executive Chairman and Co-Founder Abdul Abdulkerimov and work alongside Co-Founder Ronnie Millar. 

His promotion comes as Paysend focuses on strengthening its enterprise solutions and expanding its role as a payments partner for both institutions and consumers. Chisell’s background includes leadership roles at OakNorth, Starling Bank, Amazon, and eBay, where he developed expertise in product-led growth, embedded finance, and scaling high-performing teams.

In his first statement as CEO, Chisell said, “I am incredibly honoured to step into the role of Group CEO at Paysend.” He added, “It’s still Day 1 in this industry, and I look forward to an exciting next Phase for Paysend as we accelerate our mission to make cross-border money movement faster, more affordable, and accessible to everyone.” 

Co-Founder Ronnie Millar welcomed the appointment, noting, “Ben’s strategic vision, product expertise, and deep understanding of both our business and the global payments ecosystem make him the ideal leader to take Paysend forward.” Chisell’s leadership will support the company’s priorities in real-time payments, enterprise liquidity solutions, and the expansion of its Open Payment Network.
