At Zscaler, Chief Product Officer Adam Geller is focused on building systems that can fight AI-powered threats with AI-powered defenses. His leadership is rooted in a belief that advanced cybersecurity must do more than just respond—it must anticipate. By leveraging over half a trillion daily transactions, Geller drives Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange to automatically detect, prevent, and remediate cyber threats. He’s especially passionate about integrating real-time machine learning into threat detection. “Any advanced cybersecurity solution must leverage and harness the power of AI to fight AI with AI,” he said. Geller is best known for shaping AI-driven security platforms that make digital environments safer for enterprise users around the globe.
Born in the U.S., Geller holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and has maintained his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification for over 20 years. Before joining Zscaler, he was CEO of Exabeam, where he led the company’s push to become a leader in AI-powered security operations. His earlier roles include launching and scaling virtualization and cloud product lines at Palo Alto Networks, leading managed security services at NTT Communications, and focusing on identity and authentication solutions at VeriSign/Symantec. At Zscaler, he heads product design, development, and strategic direction across the platform.
Under Geller’s watch, Zscaler has launched new protections specifically for generative AI applications, including tools to monitor usage, prevent data leaks, and assess risk profiles. His efforts underscore a forward-facing view of cybersecurity, one that sees data privacy, automation, and hybrid security as core to business continuity. Geller believes that with the right architecture and intelligence in place, cybersecurity can become an enabler rather than a constraint.
