At the helm of growth and operations, Sam Levy is steering Oracle NetSuite to new heights. As Senior Vice President of Growth and Operations, Levy is the force behind the company’s end-to-end customer strategy, driving everything from acquisition and retention to profitability. Under his leadership, NetSuite continues to scale globally, helping more than 33,000 customers in over 217 countries. Levy’s work is pivotal in expanding NetSuite’s reach in enterprise software and refining its SaaS ERP model. His approach to sales and operations has kept the company not only resilient in times of disruption but thriving, introducing initiatives like “The Boardroom” to keep culture alive and wellness-focused programs to support team morale.
Levy’s career spans more than two decades across the enterprise applications landscape. After earning a marketing degree from San Diego State University, he began as a business development rep and steadily rose through the ranks of sales leadership at organizations like Epicor, Infor, and KeyedIn Solutions. Along the way, he managed teams of over 75 people, built strategic channel partnerships, and pioneered cloud-based sales strategies before the cloud became the standard. A defining moment early in his career was witnessing a customer celebrate their IPO, a moment that affirmed his belief in technology as a catalyst for growth. Each role sharpened his understanding of SaaS evolution, customer strategy, and team building, ultimately preparing him to lead large-scale transformations at NetSuite.
Levy often recalls a mentor who helped him see the bigger picture early on, a lesson that shaped his own mentoring style and commitment to developing others. He fosters a culture where team members are encouraged to grow, take risks, and own their success. He’s a fan of gamification, not just for fun but to reinforce collaboration and healthy competition. With resilience as his cornerstone and mentorship as his mission, Levy continues to guide Oracle NetSuite forward, proving that great leadership is about multiplying good habits and creating space for people to thrive.
