Raaz Herzberg isn’t one to shy away from difficult conversations. In the early days of Wiz, when the company was still searching for its place in the cybersecurity market, she was the first to voice a critical realization: their initial product simply wasn’t solving the right problem. That insight led to a dramatic shift—one that would ultimately turn Wiz into one of the fastest-growing startups in history, reaching over $500 million in ARR within five years. Now serving as Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Product Strategy, Herzberg continues to drive Wiz’s success by applying her deep product expertise to marketing, an unconventional but highly effective approach. Her ability to understand what customers truly need and communicate that value at scale has made her an indispensable force behind Wiz’s dominance in cloud security.

Born and raised in Israel, Herzberg earned her bachelor’s degree in computer science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She started her career at Microsoft, where she led security products, including Azure Sentinel. She joined Wiz as its first product manager, becoming one of the company’s earliest employees and playing a pivotal role in refining its product-market fit. As CMO, Herzberg oversees Wiz’s go-to-market strategy, helping the company secure major enterprise customers, including nearly half of the Fortune 100. Her transition from product management to marketing—without prior experience—was a risk, but one that has paid off as she’s redefined how cybersecurity products are positioned and sold.

Herzberg thrives in uncertainty and isn’t afraid to admit when she doesn’t know something—an attitude that has fueled her rapid growth. In the company’s early days, she found herself negotiating high-stakes contracts with Fortune 500 executives, often feeling out of her depth. But instead of retreating, she leaned into the challenge, texting company leaders mid-meeting to ask for clarification and learning in real time. That willingness to embrace discomfort has been a defining trait of her career, proving that growth comes from taking risks, asking the hard questions, and being willing to fail in pursuit of something greater.
