Quest Diagnostics has appointed Benjamin Beauvalot as Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company pursues long-term growth initiatives. Beauvalot succeeds Dermot Shorten, who will retire in the second quarter of 2026 after nearly two decades with the company. In this role, Beauvalot will oversee corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and integration efforts. He will report directly to Jim Davis, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Quest Diagnostics, and will serve on the company’s executive leadership team.
Before joining Quest Diagnostics, Beauvalot held senior strategy and business development roles at Danaher Corporation, where he supported initiatives across biotechnology and genomics businesses. Earlier in his career, he worked at Patheon, later acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific, and served as Vice President of Strategy at Banner Life Sciences. Davis highlighted Beauvalot’s experience in guiding strategic initiatives and expansion efforts, stating, “Ben has an extensive track record of delivering successful growth, M&A, and transformation strategies for world-class healthcare organizations.” He added that Beauvalot’s leadership will help advance the company’s efforts to expand both organically and through acquisitions.
