SumUp, a London-based financial technology company, has appointed Luke Griffiths as its new UK Chief Executive Officer. Griffiths, who will continue his global role as Chief Commercial Officer, will lead SumUp’s UK operations with a focus on growth in the enterprise and hospitality sectors. 

Since joining SumUp in 2023, he has expanded the company’s product portfolio and strengthened its market position through initiatives like the launch of the SumUp Terminal and the development of an AI-driven field sales team that acquires over 1,000 new customers per month. Griffiths also oversaw the rollout of an in-app call feature, which has improved customer satisfaction scores by 15%. He previously drove global growth at Klarna and led marketing at eBay.
