Finova, the UK-based provider of cloud-driven mortgage and savings software, has appointed David Espley as its Chief Technology Officer. Espley, who brings more than two decades of leadership in technology and product development, will direct the company’s technology strategy with an emphasis on innovation, customer impact, and expanding its product suite for lenders and brokers.
He previously served as CTO at Kaluza, leading a 400-member global team across the UK, EU, North America, and Australia to build AI-powered platforms for the energy sector. His earlier roles include Senior Technology leadership at Hargreaves Lansdown, where he accelerated digital delivery in wealth management, and LexisNexis, where he managed a $60 million technology budget and advanced cloud adoption.
At Finova, Espley will be tasked with leveraging AI and cloud-native technologies to strengthen client outcomes and drive resilience in a rapidly shifting mortgage market. Reflecting on his appointment, he said, “My focus will be on helping Finova’s clients achieve better outcomes by harnessing the power of AI, cloud, and modern product delivery – all while ensuring resilience, speed, and scalability.”
Gareth Richardson, Finova’s CEO, welcomed the appointment, noting, “David brings an outstanding track record of leading technology teams in complex, regulated industries and scaling digital platforms for millions of users worldwide.”
