
Butterfly Network, a digital health company advancing portable ultrasound technology, has appointed Victor Ku as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Ku will lead its technology strategy, product development, and innovation roadmap. Butterfly’s Ultrasound-on-Chip technology, combined with its software solutions, enables affordable, accessible imaging across healthcare settings.
Since launching the world’s first handheld, single-probe, whole-body ultrasound system, Butterfly iQ, in 2018, the company has introduced improved models, including the iQ+ and iQ3. Butterfly’s devices paired with Compass enterprise workflow software aim to improve care workflows, reduce costs, and enhance provider efficiency.
Ku brings over two decades of leadership experience across regulated and high-tech environments, including roles at Headwall Photonics, Teledyne FLIR, and EFI. He holds a PhD in engineering science and electrical engineering from Oxford University and an executive certificate in managing product platforms from MIT.
