Securonix has named enterprise software veteran Toby Weiss as Chief Executive Officer, bringing in a leader who most recently guided Fiery through its acquisition by Seiko Epson.
Weiss takes over as the cybersecurity company tries to expand the use of AI across its security information and event management platform. Securonix sells to large organizations and managed security providers, including customers in healthcare, financial services, energy, and government.
The company is positioning its platform around a broader move away from systems that simply generate alerts. Its tools are designed to help security teams manage data costs, investigate incidents, and automate repetitive work while keeping human oversight in place. Securonix says its Data Pipeline Manager can reduce SIEM data costs by 30% to 50%, while its agentic AI features can cut investigation times by 50% to 80%.
“Security operations are entering a new era where success will be measured not by how many alerts analysts review, but by how much security work organizations can execute,” Weiss said.
Weiss brings more than three decades of experience in enterprise software and cybersecurity. Before leading Fiery, he served as president and chief executive officer of Application Security and held senior executive roles at CA Technologies.
Executive Chairman Nadeem Syed said Weiss has experience scaling companies through major technology transitions. Securonix expects him to focus on product expansion, customer growth, and the broader rollout of AI across its security operations platform.
