Paymentology has appointed Fiona Tee as Chief Financial Officer as the issuer-processor moves into its next phase of global expansion following a $175 million strategic investment from Apis Partners and Aspirity Partners. Tee joins from Currencycloud, where she spent nine years helping scale the fintech through a growth period that ended in its acquisition by Visa. At Paymentology, she will oversee financial strategy as the company expands its cloud-native payments infrastructure across nearly 70 countries.
Tee brings more than 25 years of finance leadership experience across fintech and technology. Her background includes working with multinational, venture-backed, and private equity-backed companies through international expansion, fundraising, transformation, and corporate exits. That experience aligns with Paymentology’s current priorities as it works to scale its issuer-processing platform for traditional banks, digital banks, fintechs, and financial institutions.
In her new role, Tee will help deliver Paymentology’s five-year strategy, with a focus on customer growth, new market entry, disciplined execution, and sustainable profitability. CEO Jeff Parker said her experience scaling fintech businesses and navigating growth will be “invaluable as we enter our next phase.” Tee said she was drawn to the company’s momentum and growth plans, adding that “sustainable growth comes from a clear strategy, strong financial discipline and a culture that is aligned around execution.”
