Nvidia has appointed Alison Wagonfeld, a former Google executive, as its first Chief Marketing Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to see strong demand for artificial intelligence hardware. Wagonfeld will consolidate marketing and communications functions that were previously shared across multiple teams and will report directly to Chief Executive Jensen Huang.

She announced the move in a LinkedIn post and will join the company in February 2026. At Google, Wagonfeld spent nearly a decade leading marketing for its cloud computing business. Nvidia’s rapid expansion in AI-driven products has increased the importance of marketing as the company’s profile continues to rise across technology and enterprise sectors.

Wagonfeld’s appointment comes during a period of strong financial performance and public attention for Nvidia. The company has benefited from rising demand for AI chips following the release of advanced tools such as ChatGPT in 2022. Speaking earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Huang said, “The race is on for AI. Everyone is trying to get to the next frontier.” Nvidia recently reported record quarterly revenue of $57 billion, representing a 62% increase from the previous year and exceeding analysts’ expectations. The results reflect sustained demand for its AI-focused products and growing visibility of its executive leadership.
