JFrog has announced the appointment of Genefa Murphy as Chief Marketing Officer as the company advances its strategy across software supply chain management, security, and governance. Murphy joins JFrog with extensive experience as a senior marketing and go-to-market executive in enterprise software, supported by a background in product management and a PhD in user acceptance of new technology from the University of Wales. She most recently served as Chief Marketing and Content Officer at Udemy and previously held senior marketing roles at Five9, Micro Focus, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
Murphy said the pace of change driven by AI has increased the need for stronger discipline across software development. “AI is accelerating software change. That’s a fact,” she said. “As velocity increases across the industry, so does the need for trust, control, and discipline across the software supply chain.” She added, “I’m excited to join a company that focuses on solving hard, foundational problems so developers and organizations can adopt AI with confidence.” In addition to her executive roles, Murphy serves on several academic and industry boards and advises growth-stage technology companies on scaling go-to-market operations.
