Sage expanded its executive leadership team by recruiting Krish Vitaldevara as Chief Product Officer and Anand Swaminathan as Chief Strategy Officer. Operating from the company’s San Jose, California office, Vitaldevara assumed his position on May 18, while Swaminathan is scheduled to join the executive team on June 15. The dual appointments coincide with the technology provider's targeted focus on developing artificial intelligence solutions and driving long-term corporate growth for small and medium-sized businesses.
Before joining Sage, Vitaldevara served as general manager and executive vice president at Salesforce, where he managed product, personnel, and process integration following the acquisition of Informatica. His 25-year background in enterprise technology includes senior leadership and general manager roles at NetApp, Google, and Microsoft, alongside holding more than 30 patents in distributed systems, anomaly detection, and trust and safety. Swaminathan previously operated as a senior partner at McKinsey, where he counseled corporate boards and management teams on technology-enabled growth, enterprise transformation, and AI execution. He also held senior positions at Accenture Digital, focusing on global scaling across cloud, data, and digital product development.
Vitaldevara is responsible for overseeing the global product and platform strategy, managing the innovation roadmap, and delivering AI-driven financial, accounting, HR, and payroll technology. Swaminathan will direct corporate strategy, identify growth priorities, and manage the long-term value creation agenda alongside the executive team. CEO Steve Hare stated that the appointments reflect the company's investment in innovation, while both incoming executives noted their immediate focus on evolving the product portfolio and shaping growth priorities for shareholders and customers.
