Apple has lost its lead designer for the Safari web browser, Marco Triverio, who has left to join The Browser Company, the startup behind the AI-focused browsers Arc and Dia. The Browser Company said this addition means it now employs lead designers from all Safari eras that overlap with its projects from 2020 to 2025, strengthening its design team as it works on its browser offerings.
The move adds to a series of senior executive departures from Apple over the past year, reflecting ongoing changes in the company’s leadership ranks. Miller described his team’s goal as assembling “the densest, most extraordinary team of AI interface & product talent in the industry” and emphasized a focus on original ideas and product instincts that prioritise user needs. His announcement also served as a call for potential hires with creative and technical skills to join the company. This talent shift highlights the intensifying competition in the browser space, particularly around AI integration and user experience innovation.
