Voyager Technologies has appointed Paul Tilghman as Chief Technology Officer. The defense and space technology company delivers mission-critical solutions across ground, air, and space domains to advance national security and protect critical assets. Tilghman will lead the company’s technology strategy and innovation roadmap to accelerate deployment of advanced capabilities.
“We’re bringing in a CTO who doesn’t just envision the future; he builds it,” said Dylan Taylor, CEO of Voyager Technologies. “His ability to translate concepts into deployed systems will push the boundaries of what’s possible, uniting AI, machine learning, and autonomy with the company’s capabilities that span government, industry, and technology.”
Tilghman brings extensive experience from both government and commercial sectors. Most recently, he served as Chief Engineer of Connected Warfare at Anduril Industries, where he developed new Joint All-Domain Command and Control strategies and built partnerships with the U.S. silicon industry. Earlier in his career, he established DARPA’s wireless AI research area, managing $350 million in contract execution, and later held leadership roles at Microsoft’s Azure Space Connectivity and Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Technology Laboratories.
“Space and defense must accelerate to match the pace of the threat, and success will hinge on blending defense, commercial and dual-use technologies with rapid AI adoption,” Tilghman said. “Voyager is uniquely positioned to fuse defense, commercial, and space technologies at speed, and I’m thrilled to join the company to help lead that charge.”
