SailPoint has appointed Levent Besik as Chief Product Officer. Besik joins the Austin-based identity security leader following a tenure as vice president of product management at Microsoft, where he led the platform strategy for both human and non-human identities. With a career pedigree that includes executive product roles at Okta and Google—where he oversaw Customer Identity and Cloud AI platforms respectively—Besik brings a specialized blend of cloud-scale AI and security expertise to SailPoint. Reporting to EVP of Product and CTO Chandra Gnanasambandam, he will be responsible for scaling SailPoint’s product organization and accelerating the integration of autonomous identity governance.
The appointment comes at a critical juncture for enterprise security as non-human identities, including AI agents and bots, now significantly outnumber human users within corporate networks. Besik’s mandate will focus on evolving the SailPoint platform toward "adaptive identity security," utilizing AI-powered data intelligence to mitigate identity-based threats in real-time. By leveraging his background in advanced machine learning and zero-standing privilege frameworks, Besik is tasked with transforming identity from a traditional vulnerability into a core security advantage.
