When André Heinz made the leap from leading 60,000 employees at Siemens Healthineers to joining Celonis, then a startup with just 600 staff, it was more than a career move—it was a statement of intent. Now Chief People Officer at Celonis, Heinz has been instrumental in tripling the company's workforce in under three years while embedding a scalable, purpose-driven people strategy that aligns with the demands of a hyper growth environment. He’s helped transform the company’s internal culture to match its external success, emphasizing transparency, inclusion, and continuous listening. Under his leadership, Celonis has created a global leadership forum, hosted organizational health reviews, and built a forward-thinking equity initiative for employees’ children—all while continuing to hire and scale sustainably.
Heinz earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master’s in organizational development, building a diverse international career with leadership roles in Germany, the United States, China, and Russia. His tenure at Siemens Healthineers from 2012 to 2020 marked a significant era where he led the HR function for over 70 countries, managed legal carve-outs, and played a key role in preparing the organization’s IPO. Before that, he served as VP for HR, Legal and Compliance at Siemens AG and even established an internal executive search function at the World Bank. From government institutions to high-speed tech, Heinz has consistently redefined what modern HR leadership looks like.
Heinz understands the weight of context, especially for younger employees navigating uncertain global conditions, and stresses the importance of over-communicating the “why” behind every decision. Whether he's hosting casual conversations over beer or leading sessions on cultural inclusion, Heinz is grounded in authenticity and committed to evolving work environments. A proud father of three and avid outdoorsman, he brings the same energy to hiking and climbing as he does to navigating macroeconomic shifts. His outlook is clear: the future of HR lies in understanding people like customers, building with integrity, and embracing change as a constant companion.
