Karan Singh, the visionary COO and Co-Founder of Headspace Health, has taken a proactive approach to mental health that prioritizes prevention and accessibility. His journey into the field was driven by a personal tragedy that revealed the limitations and stigmas surrounding mental healthcare, especially within communities of color. This experience inspired Singh to co-found Ginger, a digital platform aimed at addressing mental health needs with a data-driven approach. Ginger provides on-demand, evidence-based care through a combination of behavioral coaching, therapy, and psychiatry, and unlike traditional services, it leverages technology and data analytics to enhance accessibility and effectiveness. In 2021, Singh led the merger of Ginger with Headspace, uniting the clinical services of Ginger with Headspace’s mindfulness content, which positioned Headspace Health as a leading global provider of mental health solutions.

Singh’s career spans over 15 years in the healthcare industry, with roles in consulting, biotech, and academic partnerships, as well as a strong focus on mental health. His academic background includes a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and an MBA from MIT Sloan, where he specialized in entrepreneurship. At Ginger, he championed the development of a comprehensive mental health service that integrates upstream interventions to prevent crises before they escalate. Singh advocates for reforms like payment parity and telehealth policy adjustments to expand access and attract more professionals to the field.
