Ambience Healthcare appointed Michael Han, MD, MBA, as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Han joins the San Francisco-based firm following a successful tenure as enterprise chief medical information officer at MultiCare Health System. At MultiCare, he was the primary architect for clinical informatics and EHR strategy across a massive integrated delivery network, managing enterprise application governance and large-scale technology deployments. A board-certified urologist and informaticist, Dr. Han also previously held senior leadership roles at Providence and Pacific Medical Centers, where he served as chief of surgery.
At Ambience, his role involves transforming the company’s AI platform into foundational clinical infrastructure. Leveraging his dual background as a board-certified urologist and informaticist, he will oversee a clinical strategy that integrates real-time intelligence into exam-room workflows. His mandate extends beyond ambient documentation to address revenue cycle durability, care orchestration, and operational performance—key metrics for the health systems Ambience targets.
