Ipsen has named Michelle C. Werner Executive Vice President and President of North America, placing a seasoned biotech and pharmaceutical executive at the helm of one of its most important markets. In the role, Werner will join the company’s executive leadership team and report directly to CEO David Loew as Ipsen continues to expand its presence in oncology, rare disease, and neuroscience. Announcing the appointment, Loew pointed to her global leadership experience and strong track record across the U.S. market, saying Werner brings “a wealth of experience in leading teams both in the U.S. and around the world” and a deep understanding of the opportunities ahead for the company.

Werner arrives at Ipsen after serving as president and CEO of Alltrna, adding to a career spanning more than 25 years across Bristol Myers Squibb, AstraZeneca, and Novartis. Her background includes commercial leadership, global market access, brand strategy, and franchise leadership across areas such as oncology, hematology, and virology, as well as oversight of major launches in the U.S. and abroad.
