Lauren R. Hobart has emerged as a dynamic force at the helm of DICK'S Sporting Goods, spearheading transformative initiatives and solidifying the company's position as a leader in the retail industry.

Joining DICK'S in February 2011 as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Hobart wasted no time in making her mark. Under her leadership, the company's marketing efforts underwent a significant overhaul, yielding remarkable returns on investment and culminating in the successful launch of the CALIA brand.

Recognizing her exceptional leadership qualities, Hobart was swiftly promoted to executive vice president and later assumed the role of executive vice president, chief customer & digital officer. In May 2017, she ascended to the position of president, assuming responsibility for a diverse array of functions including stores, marketing, eCommerce, technology, HR, communications, legal, and strategy & analytics.

Hobart's multifaceted approach to leadership extends beyond the boardroom. She has served on the DICK'S Board of Directors since January 2018 and currently holds the position of President of The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation, where she has played a pivotal role in advancing the Sports Matter initiative. This initiative has facilitated access to sports for over one million children and has contributed to over $210 million in grants and sponsorships since its inception in 2014.

Prior to her tenure at DICK'S, Hobart amassed extensive experience in leadership roles at PepsiCo, Wells Fargo Bank, and JP Morgan Chase. Her illustrious career trajectory is underscored by her commitment to excellence and innovation.

In addition to her corporate endeavors, Hobart has served on the boards of Sonic Corp. from 2014 to 2018 and YUM! Brands from November 2020 to August 2022. In a testament to her esteemed reputation, she was appointed to the board of directors of Marriott International, Inc. in March 2023.

Hobart's academic credentials further underscore her dedication to personal and professional development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
