Former Humana and Marriott technology leader Eric Tagliere has joined R1 as Chief Information Officer, bringing more than 30 years of transformation experience to the healthcare revenue management company. In the role, Tagliere will help lead R1’s technology strategy, innovation, and execution as the company expands its healthcare revenue management platform.
Tagliere brings more than 30 years of technology leadership experience to R1. He most recently served as Chief Technology Officer at Humana, where he led technology operations and supported the company’s cloud and technology modernization strategy.
Before joining Humana, Tagliere served as Chief Technology Officer at Marriott International. In that role, he oversaw digital engineering and enterprise transformation across Marriott’s global hotel portfolio, including the technology integration of Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
R1 CEO Joe Flanagan said Tagliere will help strengthen the company’s technology capabilities and support long-term, AI-enabled growth. He said Tagliere’s experience leading large-scale technology transformations will help R1 build a scalable foundation for faster decision-making across internal teams and customers.
Tagliere said R1’s AI and automation capabilities are already helping deliver outcomes for patients and providers. “I look forward to working alongside the talented R1 team to advance the Company’s technology strategy and deliver even greater value to our healthcare provider customers,” he said.
