eMed Population Health announced the appointment of Linda Yaccarino, former CEO of X (Twitter), as its new Chief Executive Officer. Yaccarino, who also held senior leadership roles at NBCUniversal as Chairman of global advertising and partnerships, brings decades of experience in steering large-scale transformations and building strategic partnerships. Her appointment marks a key step for eMed as it expands its GLP-1/GIP population health management services across employer and government programs. The board of directors emphasized Yaccarino’s ability to navigate complex markets and drive partnerships, noting that her leadership will accelerate eMed’s mission to advance population health outcomes through technology-driven care.
Speaking on her new role, Yaccarino said, “The healthcare industry has been disrupted by technology, but not yet completely transformed by it. There is an opportunity to combine technology, lifestyle, and data in a new powerful way through the digital channels that impact consumers directly in ways that have never been done before.” She added, “To be a leader in today’s healthcare marketplace, companies need to have a fearless tenacity that allows them to not only grow, but to also be brave enough to step forward and redefine an entire industry.”
