Henrik Rosén is the Chief Technology Officer of Medius, a Swedish fintech that has been making waves around the globe. The company, which processes $180 billion in annual spend, uses AI to automate the capture, processing, and payment of business invoices. Rosén assumed his current role in February 2023. On top of that, he leads both the research and development (R&D) and customer support divisions. He also manages the cloud and security operations at the firm – and is responsible for a global team that is 200 strong.

In a recent release, the newly minted CTO did little to hide his enthusiasm. “Sweden has a long history of innovation - home of household technology names like Spotify, Klarna, and Northvolt. Despite only recently claiming his CTO title, Rosén is no stranger to the Medius culture. He joined the company more than a dozen years ago as a project director. Since then, he has seen the organization grow “from a local Swedish software company to a global SaaS business.” Over the years, he's held positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of R&D, Director of Cloud Operations, and Vice President of R&D. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of R&D, a leadership position that had him managing cloud operations and the global IT team, among other responsibilities.

Prior to joining Medius, Rosén was a member of the R&D executive team of the ERP vendor IFS. He spent more than 13 years at IFS World Operations, guiding the business as it expanded into a major participant in the worldwide ERP market with 5,000 employees. Before that, he was at the IFS Profit Sharing Foundation for more than eight years, notably serving as chairman of the board until the foundation was closed in June 2009.

In 1990, Rosén earned a Master of Science in computer technology from the Linköping University.
